Hi mamas!

I’m Alyssa, mom of three beautiful kiddos and South Florida native. A few years ago I returned home with my husband after a decade of schooling and jumpstarting our careers. We were thrilled to be home with our families again as we started our own family together. What I didn’t know until I had my first was how lonely I would feel having my best friends scattered around the country and in different phases of their lives. Our long phone calls to catch up and support each other were no longer an option with a newborn schedule and daily witching hours. I needed good friends close by who just got it.

I tried the apps, groups, meetups, classes, events, neighborhood walks. I spent hundreds of hours over multiple years to finally curate a village of incredible people nearby. I’ve spent a lot of energy on the journey and met dozens of moms who shared the same frustration. Making genuine mom friends is harder than anyone bargained for and no one knows where to go to find people they’re bound to click with.

Before motherhood I spent years in human resources recruiting, building teams, finding the right people for the right seats. I’m good at asking the right questions, understanding what people need, and making a match that sticks. I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of finding people exactly what they’re looking for. In college I started a database (yes, a literal spreadsheet) to help connect people in my network for dating. I even introduced two of my closest friends to their now-husbands. Matchmaking, it seems, has always been my thing.

So when I found myself years into motherhood reflecting on how much time it took me to finally build my village, something clicked. If I could use my expertise to help another mom find her people faster, maybe she would feel less lonely than I did in those early months.

And so, Mama Match was born. We are a concierge matching service for moms of young children (and moms-to-be) in South Florida. Your time is better spent investing in the relationships that matter to you than it is in searching for your people. Let us find them for you.
